Patrick gave an invited talk at a virtual Compound Semiconductor Week 2021 (nominally in Stockholm) on “A needle in a needlestack – exploiting functional inhomogeneity as a tool for optimized nanooptoelectronics“. This opened the B2 session “Nanowire growth and characterization“.

Au Revoir to Stefan Skalsky

Congratulations and an “au revoir” to group PhD student Stefan Skalsky, who has accepted a postdoctoral position at the Lancaster University in the group of Qiandong Zhuang. He will work on mid-infared optoelectronics for sensing applications.

Welcome to Nikesh!

The group welcomes Nikesh Patel as a new EPSRC-funded PhD student working on the Big-data for Nano-Electronics project. Nikesh joins us from an MPhysChem at the University of Edinburgh, and will focus on high-throughput spectroscopy of low-dimensionality nanomaterials.
