About us

The Optoelectronic Materials Spectroscopy group at the University Manchester focuses on developing experimental, analytical and data-based methodology for novel materials.

We use automated experimentation coupled to cutting-edge laser facilities to study nano-lasers, micro-LEDs, graphene-based photodetectors, single quantum dots and emerging materials.

We work across disciplines - including physics, chemistry, electronic materials and electronic engineering - with partners in industry and both UK and international academia.
