New Publication - Low Ensemble Disorder in Quantum Well Tube Nanowires

We have published a new paper in the Royal Society of Chemistry journal “Nanoscale” with colleagues at the University of Oxford and the Australian National University.

We measured the optoelectronic properties of a large number of quantum well tube nanowires, grown at the ANU, which have application in tunable emission devices. By correlating the spectral disorder in individual wires and the variation across a large number, we have shown that MOCVD grown nanowire have a low ensemble disorder.

This work paves the way for the use of these quantum well structures in real-world applications, including as LED and nanolaser components.
