As part of a planned visit to the Australian National University Electronic Materials Engineering group, Patrick gave a joint seminar with Hannah Joyce (Cambridge Engineering) to project partners.
Dr Aruni Foseka of the Warwick Electron Microscopy Centre gave a seminar to the group and colleagues at the Photon Science Institute. Her talk covered electron microscopy techniques for nanomaterial characterisation, including dark-field and spectroscopic approaches.
Patrick gave a virtual seminar at Liverpool Big Data Science Centre for Doctoral Training (LIV.DAT) on “Big-data for nano-electronics“. Thanks to Prof. Carsten Welsch for the invitation!
Patrick gave a seminar at the University of Sheffield, where he was kindly hosted by Dr Jenny Clark of the Department of Physics and the Sheffield Laser Lab. He spoke about exploiting functional inhomogeneity for optimizing nano-optoelectronics, and learnt a lot about ultrafast spectroscopy for singlet fission.
Patrick gave the Oxford Condensed Matter Physics seminar on A needle in a needlestack – exploiting functional inhomogeneity for optimized nano-optoelectronics. In this talk, he presented on recent advances in using high-throughput spectroscopy to study nanowires for optoelectronic applications.
