Patrick acted as external PhD examiner for Hayfaa Alradhi, a student in the group of Dr Qiandong Zhuang in the Physics Department at Lancaster University.
Patrick acted as external PhD examiner for James Kerfoot, a student in the group of Prof. Peter Beton in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nottingham.
A welcome to Ruqaiya who joins us as a visitor for the next three weeks. Ruqaiya will work on a project on high-speed multiphoton photocurrent mapping.
Bryce has passed his PhD viva with just minor changes. Congratulations to Bryce on his work!
Patrick has been invited to sit on the newly formed Advisory panel for the Institute of Physics journal, Nanotechnology.
Congratulations to Bryce on submission of his PhD thesis!
Kun Peng has been given approval for the award of her PhD for her thesis “III-V Compound Semiconductor Nanowire Terahertz Detectors“. Congratulations to Kun for all her hard work.
The group welcome two MPhys project students, Pawita and Cosimo, to the group. Over this semester, they will be working on developing a compressive-sensing approach to large area photocurrent mapping for novel photovoltaics.
Congratulations to Arturo, who has passed his 1st year viva and now continues into the PhD program. His project will focus on the understanding of inhomogeneity in nanowire lasers, and their development towards device-implementable nanomaterial.
